Jacqui Shumway is a leader in integrative health, movement education, and community wellness with over 30 years of experience helping individuals cultivate strength, balance, and lifelong vitality. She holds a Master’s degree in Therapeutic Kinesiology and is currently a doctoral candidate in Chinese Medicine, reflecting her deep commitment to advancing both the science and art of healing.

She brings a rare ability to bridge modern exercise science with Traditional Chinese Medicine, translating complex health principles into practical, life-changing programs that empower people to take control of their health.

Experience

Jacqui is Director of the T’ai Chi Project at the Living Younger Longer Institute, where she has helped build one of Denver’s most impactful community-based healthy aging programs.  Her career spans clinical, academic, and community leadership roles, including program development at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and St. Joseph Hospital, where she specialized in clinical exercise therapy and integrative health programs.  She currently teaches Tai Chi and Medical Qigong through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Denver, guiding students in practices that improve balance, resilience, and overall well-being.
